It’s that time of year again… New Year’s resolution time! Looking back at 2017, many of us like to make resolutions, to imagine what we can change, improve, and master in 2018. Maybe you’ve bought some squeaky clean, new trainers for that gym membership card lying somewhere in your room. Maybe this year you plan on learning to cook something that involves more than a microwave or can opener. Maybe this is the year to peruse that hobby: learn to paint, or dance, or skip rocks.
This is the year to do it all! 2018 – the best year yet!
By the year’s end, if you’re not bilingual then you’ll be trilingual. If you can’t paint like Picasso then you’ll paint like Monet. If you can’t imitate the calling of a pigeon then at least a cormorant.
However, the TEDxUniversityofGlasgow wants to remind you of two things:
- When you master the calling of a cormorant or discover your passion, we want to know! Remember that we are a platform for sharing ideas and discoveries! We want to hear from you!
- When you have all these wonderful plans, all these grand designs for the upcoming year, remember that sometimes it’s best to press pause to begin.
The TEDxUniversityofGlasgow wishes you all the best for 2018!
